Hands of Hope Allegany County was built on a simple belief: that community members who give together can accomplish more than any one person alone. The causes we support were chosen because they reflect the greatest needs in our county — from children facing illness, to neighbors experiencing hardship, to adults with special needs who deserve every opportunity to thrive. When you donate to Hands of Hope, your money doesn’t disappear into overhead. It goes directly to the organizations and families listed on this page. We proudly support their mission to build confidence, friendship, and community belonging through the power of sport. American Cancer Society — Relay for Life

Every year, communities across the country come together for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life — a powerful overnight fundraising event that honors cancer survivors, remembers those we’ve lost, and raises vital funds for cancer research. Hands of Hope is a proud Relay for Life partner, organizing our community’s participation and sponsoring our local walk in Allegany County.

The Alzheimer’s Association leads the fight to end Alzheimer’s disease through advocacy, research funding, and care support. Hands of Hope supports the Alzheimer’s Association because we know how deeply this disease touches families right here in our community. Hands of Hope supports the Schwab Cancer Center’s mission to make cutting-edge treatment accessible to everyone in our region, regardless of where they live or what resources they have.
