Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. Hands of Hope Allegany County is a registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. All contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Please consult your tax advisor for details specific to your situation
Will I receive a receipt for my donation?
Yes. PayPal automatically sends a donation receipt to your email address immediately after your gift is processed. This receipt can be used for your tax records. Do I need a PayPal account to donate?

How is my donation used?
100% of your donation goes directly to our five cause areas and local families in need in Allegany County. Hands of Hope has no paid staff — all trustees and event organizers are volunteers who give their time freely. There is no administrative overhead eating into your gift.
Can I donate to a specific cause?
At this time, all donations go into our general fund and are distributed across our cause areas based on current community need. If you have a specific cause in mind, please contact us at HandsofHopeAlleganyCounty@hotmail.com or call 301-876-1042 and we will do our best to accommodate your wishes.
How do I cancel or change a recurring donation?
Log in to your PayPal account, go to Settings > Payments > Manage Automatic Payments, locate Hands of Hope Allegany County, and click Cancel or Update. You can also contact us directly at HandsofHopeAlleganyCounty@hotmail.com and we will assist you right away. We never want giving to feel like a burden.
